The Presidents of Russia and Turkey discussed the situation in Syria


February 8 had a telephone conversation with Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the website of the Russian president.

At the request of the Turkish government, Dmitry Medvedev also informed of the efforts made by Russia, to establish contacts and start a dialogue between Syrian parties and the promotion of democratic reforms in that country. Particular attention was paid to the results conducted in the context of consistent work on behalf of the Head of State on February 7 this year in Damascus talks Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov with Syrian President Bashar Assad.
